I was happy with windows 95

I was pulled kicking and screaming from 3.1 myself, was never one for change.

For my computing needs(very little)the upgrade to XP was the only one that did anything for me. I could finally network with ease, that was huge for me. I had spent many hours and days trying to network 95 and with XP it was click, click

Now we are showing our age. I started with Win3.11  It was so simple I knew the names of most of the files that made it work which would be quite an impossibility with more recent operating systems.  95 was no good for networking, in those days we used Windows NT which was the puka professional operating system for networks. Solid as rock and a very easy network to manage. That was the last time Microsoft didn't compromise by dumbing down an operating system for both home and professional use. It's been down hill ever since.

I don't have to worry about it.  Apparently our Dell laptop is so old that Dell isn't even going to check it for compatibility with Windows 10.  Whew!

I went from 8.5 floppy's to an 88 machine where you had to load DOS on the old "green screen" LOL   I,  like some folks here,  as I like to say , are "Pre-TV"
